There are two common purposes of the 2D Floor plan: residential and commercial. Besides, floor plans can be designed in plain format (grey, black and white) or colorful format to emphasize the physical patterns or space separation.

Pros:

2D Floor plan is used popularly because of its simple but clear drawing of house structure. Coming with it, the 2D Floor plan is easier to create and light to store and share in different devices. Hence, it can be seen as the most cost-effective choice.
